Just watched it . . . ah, the memories. For being 20 years old, the special effects hold up pretty well. I got a chuckle out of the early '80s wardrobes, though.

They are supposedly thinking about making a sequel.

They have been talking about a sequel for a few years. I love that movie but I will wait for the DVD to go on sale.

DVDs are always cheapest in their first 1-2 weeks of release...after that they turn into catalog titles and go closer to MSRP at many retailers.

That is not always true. I picked up Gone In 60 Seconds for less than $10 new late last years. You just have to be patient and really keep your eyes open. I almost always pay less the $13 for new DVDs.

oh...guess it's different here in canada then. cause new releases are usually priced REALLY low (often close to the same price as it is in the US, but using our currency!) and then after a month or so the price skyrockets!

Double DVD set with extra scenes, making of, etc., etc.

It looked remastered to me, the picture was very very good.

kami, as DVD has become more popular, many companies have been dropping prices on catalog titles.
