The OP had two problems with the thread.
1) Calling out/challenging the Mods
2) The thread should have been put in FI.
Putting both problems together may have been what brought down the Mod's wrath.

I want to be a PC as I can after I read what the Mod wrote regarding my original post.
I'm not someone who comes to this forum because I'm bored and need to vent my frustrations out on other people. My original post was to vent my frustrations to what goes on in this forum constantly. It may not be kids/HS/ or college in general who cause the problems, but those members who are involved seem to act like this age.
I'm sure I'm not alone in my feelings, but there's a culture here that if you try to voice your opinion you will get called names and told to shut up. This is unacceptable for a site as popular as this. And I'm surprised this has been let to go on as long as it has.
And after I read what the moderate wrote in his comments following his locking of my original post, I can start to see where this culture of insesitivity might begin. I will always stand by what I believe in, this is the American way. I will not let fear and intimidation alter what I believe and inhibit my right to say what I feel.
I've never heard the word "Flame bait" until I came to this forum. Can someone tell me why something is "flame bait?"

Is posting relevant news on topics that interest you included in this category?

It is the way that one presents their opinion that determines trolling/flame bait
Are you trying for useful results/discussion, all you are doing is causing people to react emotionally with no postive purpose in mind.

In my opinion, all computer users are stupid = flamebait.
In my opinion, all computer users are computer users = not flamebait.
But, any opinion will have a side that doesn't agree with it. They may post to express that view. As IRL, they won't always do it tactfully. That is life. If your sensibilities are to soft, this may not be the place for you.
You can do what I do when I get flamed, which is often. I base my feelings on what has been said based upon my respect for the person saying it. If I don't respect them, I don't care what was said. If I respect them, I make sure they aren't funning me or if they are serious, I look at my actions and adjust accordingly.
Since this is just an internet forum full of juveniles, it's pretty easy to let comments slide as I don't know the person and thus place little value in what they say. Each comment must be placed in context and evaluated for it's intent.
Sarcasm can go a long way to getting a point across and can be funny if your not so sensitive.
If I had taken all the flaming and ribbing personally when I first joined here in 2000, I never would have stayed.
My suggestion is to chill out or go some place else.
The Mods operate on a volunteer basis; they don't have to / don't want to put up with crap. It's a private forum, so all arguments of 'free speech' are void. Threads directed at the mods are almost always locked (use Forum Issues or send them a private message)
Flame bait would be posting things only to evoke a hostile reaction - such as posting a false news story about a catastrophe for a certain ethnicity only to 'bait' people into attacking you. Depending on how many posts you have, you may or may not get away with it.

dude..there are certain subjects that just bring out the worst in even the most respectful and humble person.
You should read these forums especially P & N !! That way you will know what those subjects are.
technically NO your not ebtitled to an opinion if your going to start a flame war becuase you choose to voice your opinion in a manner that will attract all the crud in these forums!!
Mind you thats how I see it...I am just me!!
The Mods have their hands fully a lot of the time to empty the vacum cleaners that get full of crud due to all the Noobs and immature acting Nefs. (Look at some of the threads that show up in OT - at times, there are more locked than active in a few pages).
