Trojan virus woes :(

I was able to clean all of the Trojan viruses off my computer a few weeks ago and everything was dandy. Recently I noticed that everytime I opened my Task Manager or Registry, it would automatically close by itself. I shrugged it off because I did not have time to figure it out. I thought that my firewall was good enough and there was no way I could have gotten a virus again. Then for the last few days my internet connection has been dying on me. I noticed that my routers light keeps blinking but I could not load any webpage. I would have to reboot in order to regain access to the internet in which it would repeat the same thing again within a few minutes. I looked in my WINNT/system32 folder and found a file that I believe was known to be a virus from a few weeks back. Somehow it made it's way back onto my system and I believe it's the culprit. I don't own any anti-virus software. THe one that I used before and successfully cleaned my system was Trend Micro's free Online virus scanner. But this time it kept saying my system is clean which I know it is not. Can someone recommend a better online virus scanner or a place where I can obtain a trial one which will be able to clean my system? Thanks

Reload, the only way to be sure you're clean is to restore from a known-good backup or reinstall from known-good media.

Try running the virus scanner on this page. I just got rid of a trojan on my daughter's PC a couple of weeks ago that Trojan Remover or AVG didn't find. It was the only PC out of the eight that I and my family own that didn't have Norton AV installed. After running the on-line scanner and finding the trojan, I was able to clean the PC. Needless to say, Norton AV is now installed on that PC also.
