Troble with chipset fan...

Hi, everyone...this is my first post in this forum... I have trouble with my A8N-SLI chipset fan. I purchased board three weeks ago, and yesterday chipset fan started to produce extreme noise...I want to replace it with silent, passive if possible, cooler ...please, give me some advice,what can I do with this fan? Anybody had similar problems? I dont want to change this 8000 rpm fan every month, 🙁
 
I've just put a Zalman passive blue heatsink on it last night. and no crashes so far (with plenty of half life 2 play!) but to touch it does seem a little hot. it fits perfectly between the 2 graphics cards if you were to use SLI mode.
