Trivial problem in Access97

I am fairly good at operating on Access 97 from within VB6.0, but now I am looking at this process form the other angle. My simple question is - within a Access97 form how do I operate on the form's recordse with code in the VB code editor? This was simple to do when starting with VB and opening the database, but I cannot figure out how to do it from within an Access97 form. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
