The answer is that Raphael died because of "a night of excessive sex with [somone], after which he fell into a fever and, not telling his doctors that this was its cause, was given the wrong cure, which killed him."

I'm not saying he wasn't, but the only reason you brought this up is because you wanted to talk about how some artist who died hundreds of years ago got it on with his mistress the night he died... Does it still sound funny to you?
