I know it is 3 weeks away but I am looking forward to this movie, xXx or triple x. I am hoping that this trailer is not as misleading as Reign of Fire. :disgust: I also hope this movie is also better than "The Fast And The Furious". That was a nothing movie, a waste of time in my opinion. Take the poll. Hopefully, I will have most of the options covered in the poll. :)

Edit1: Add keyword to title for the search challenged.
Edit2: Add more options to poll.

*sigh* Yet another flick that I have to wait to use the discounted tickets on because Sony wants their first two weeks take to be higher.
Have they though about the fact that many people will just wait two weeks to use their discount tickets and not see it in the first 2 weeks.
They'll get some people to see it in the first 2 weeks anyhow but I think Sony's brilliant idea to boost their take isn't going to boost their first 2 weeks take all that much.

Is that such a far fetched idea? I liked it a lot.

LOL, why am I in the poll?

But yes I want to see Triple X. I am a Vin Diesel fan since Pitch Black, and the movie looks to be non-stop action!

Fast and the Furious was a mockery of the street racing scene, and technically a horrible movie. That's not to say it's without some entertainment value. That being said, I can see why so many people were disappointed with the movie (flawed physics, poor acting, idiotic plot) but you gotta realize it's not gunning for an Oscar.

Should be the same with Triple X. Lots of explosions, stupid dialogue, cliche'd plot, but still fun. I can't see why some people here insist on hating every movie that requires an IQ of less than 40 to enjoy. Do you keep your television tuned to CSPAN or Bloomberg too? I bet you people are the life of the party.

Triple X - James Bond for people who actually _liked_ 'The Fast and the Furious'.

I'm definately NOT one of those people.

to me, it wasn't just that it was a horrible movie, it wasn't fun either... i have watched horrible movies before, some of them were fun and had some entertainment value...

To me, the fast and the furious wasn't even funny, just plain boring...

Hey, I like my share of bad movies (even Pitch Black!), but TF&TF just took itself too seriously for what it was. I laughed a few times at first, but about halfway through its idiocy was unbearable.

See your signature line :)
I see most of the movie threads here are started by you. Well, at least the LOTR threads anyways.

xXx (the correct capitalization/spelling of the movie, BTW ;)) had a VERY effective trailer that actually made me want to see the movie. Granted, 8 times out of 10 the movie is nothing like the trailer, but still... check it out

Vin Diesel was the only bearable actor in the Fast and the Furious. He was also great in Iron Giant and Saving Private Ryan, so I could consider myself a fan of his. Plus xXx has Samuel "Jules Windu" L. Jackson; you can't go wrong with that! :)

But then again, the movie was directed by the guy who directed The Fast and the Furious and The Skulls, which immediately puts up warning flags. I'm gonna wait for Rotten Tomatoes before I make a decision. Unless it's absolutely horrible, if it's a brainless action flick that doesn't pretend to be more than a brainless action flick(something I need to purge myself from the memories of MIB II), I'll probably bite and go for it.

I neither dislike or like Vin Diesel. The show looks stupid (not to mention it's misleading title ;)), though, so I'll probably wait for the rental.

THANK YOU! I cannot agree with this guy more! People need to realize what kind of movie they are going to see before they see it. Yes, fast and furious had horrible dialogue, had horrible actors, and possibly a horrible plot (i thought it was a neat idea), but you gotta expect what you are going to see. That movie was all about cars and thats it. And like this guy said, it was just an entertaining movie, and yes it's not expecting an oscar. It never was intented to. It was intended to get people to go watch cars they don't normally see, and to have a fun time with cars like that. I know that everytime I see this movie again, it gets cheesier and cheesier. But at the same time, thats what makes it fun, talking about how cheesy it is or whatever.

All in all, I think as a movie fast and the furiuous is pretty sad. But as a source of fun entertainment, it is a great way to spend an hour and a half or so.
