A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Texas Friday as a powerful storm system with severe rain, tornadoes, ice, snow and flooding moves across the US.

It's going to hit 60 degrees in NYC over the weekend. After, it seems it will be in the 40s.

Should be in the 20s / 30s this time of year.

I left more than 7 years ago...nowadays, 3 cars at the town's roundabout at the same time constitutes a traffic jam...

We're expecting pretty much normal January weather here. Heavy rain, windy conditions, turning cold with a chance of snow next week. It rarely lasts more than a couple of days though...and the ocean beach is pretty cool (literally) when it's covered in snow.

Even here in the north our Januaries are weird now. Yesterday it was -30 today it's like +1. I hate positives in winter it makes a mess everywhere. At least we don't get destructive weather here though. No tornadoes or floods etc. Had a flood in the 90's that only affected houses near the river but that was a freak thing.

Yeah - our super special Friday night plans are to go to the grocery store so we don't have to leave the house Saturday

As the day progressed, the forecast for western WA got worse. Now predicting snow on/off fhrough the coming week...with temps dropping into the teens and low 20's, depending on where you're at...and which weather site.
