lcd is off because the hd died so I decided to mod the case while waiting for the replacement. There is two computers hooked up to the 21inch trinitron.

Ugh screw that! Too many mice/keyboards....unless you've got a quad KVM, which doesn't appear to be the case.

on a side note: what do you use your 4 computers for?

i do have a KVM but i dont like to use it because alot of times ill be playin a game on one computer talkin on aim on another and watchin a movie on one.

i also do alot of video encoding on the machines.

I have a associate who has an AIW Radeon 9700. He tried to add a Radeon 7500 PCI card for tri-head display (AIW Radeon only is single-head + S-Video out), but the ATI drivers won't drive three video outputs.

Will a PCI GeForce FX 5200 or Matrox G450 card work instead? Or will he have to get two nVidia cards like the OP?

My desk is being owned right now. 2 19" Mitsubishi DiamondTron's and a 22" Viewsonic. Total combined weight, around 240 pounds.

That's a negative. My cat's have always supported all three of my Radmac's... one on the 9100 and two on the 9800.

Good for you. Gimme a call when your first pixel decays and gets "stuck-on" or your screen dies a mysterious death enroute to a LAN. LCD's suck more than Icy-Hot for sexual lubracant. Give'm a few more years...

That's fine and all, but this experience went through ATI tech support. Maybe it has to do with the All-in-Wonder Radeon 9700 Pro, beats me.

Actually, TAS! (That Ain't Stuff). I have a very similar console. 3 x 19" monitors, 3 computers, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and 1 switch. All black. Dig that! ;)
