Hi all-
I have a matrox G400 Max dual monitors running on Win 2K Pro using the AGP slot. Anyone know if I can add a PCI video card to get triple monitors. My guess is that it won't work except if maybe I get a PCI Matrox G450 it might work. I couldn't find anything on the Matrox site.

Any info would be much appreciated-
 
it shouldn't be any problem. you are still only using 2 cards, despite the fact that the matrox is dual-head, and windows should support it as such with ANY pci card as the secondary card.

Is there anyone running such a setup? I am wondering if there will be problems with maximizing windows or spanning a window across two monitors.
 
You won't have any problems at all with a setup like that. I've setup several systems with 4 monitors using various combinations of video cards w/o a problem.

EDIT-- window placement won't be any different with 3 monitors, you just have more space 😉
