Trip to Victoria, BC

Well I'm out on the West Coast now, for the first time ever, up in Victoria, BC (Kanukia). Been here since Sunday or so, had a blast so far, my now-fiancee has taken me all over Victoria, we caught a ferry over to Vancouver and checked out Stanley Park and Metropolis and Richmond, and oh yeah did I mention that I proposed and she said yes?

I apologize for them being gigantic and not in a nice album, I'm not at home so I can't really deal too well with them quite yet. I've got many more than that though 🙂

Also, grabbed a few videos, one was like 60MB of this kid standing on a bunch of stuff juggling batons on fire, there's a pic of him up but the video was too big. The two I did put up were from a karaoke bar last night called Sopranos, first was these two women singing the Barbie song (scared me to death), the second was this guy named "Noodles", singing (kinda) the lowrider song. Funny, funny stuff.

Added all of the pictures now, plus made up a pan shot I took with the help of my A95's guide (didn't come out perfect, but still decent), plus three fireworks videos.
 
Still here, but yeah it's awesome so far. Plus, I got to avoid the 90F+ weather on the East Coast 😉...we're flying back on Saturday, then travelling around the NE for a while, I'll be taking a lot of pictures.

Shopping is pretty decent, my fiancee has taken me to all of the local malls, plus Metropolis over in Vancouver (if you have time and wanna spend $110 on ferry rides), there's plenty of big name brand stores, lots of clothing shops and electronic shops, enough to keep you busy for quite a while.

Nightlife I'm not so sure about, seeing as how we've spent most of the nights either eating out with her family or at the movies or something, with the exception of the night spent at Sopranos, which was pretty decent. Good beer, and lots of talented people singing whatever they want. There's a place called Hush and Deep, also Evolution, all in the greater Victoria area. You could also try out the Cactus Club on the corner of Douglas and Fort, it's open pretty late and supposedly has good food/drinks. There's also Christie's Pub and Maude Hunter's, if you don't have transportation though don't bother.

Was it last night, cause if it wasn't then I wasn't there 🙂...you did watch the two videos I put up though? Those were the most entertaining, although there was a guy that when he started up I said "Holy crap, Kenny Rogers!" and sure enough they threw up a Kenny Roger's song for him.

Oh no this was a few years ago.
 
Well I'm home now, gonna work on pictures in a few after we get settled in. I have some pics/vids of the Canada fireworks at the Inner Harbor in Victoria, sad to say they kick the all living crap out of anything we have here in VT for 4th of July or New Years 🙁
