Thanks. I truly think the lens did 75% of the work!

Most of those shots were taken between 150 and 200mm, wide open at F4.0, ISO 100-400, with relatively modest shutter speeds ranging from 1/50 second to 1/400 second.

Out of curiosity, are those the full image after cropping or did you resize?

edit: Forgot to add, beautiful shots!

Yes, some. Increased and decreased saturation of some colors, added a little contrast in some places. Other then resize, nothing was done to the "rooster" for images 2,3,4.

I have a 3-year-old EOS-20D.

Thanks. My biggest regret is not having another 200mm for that eagle shot. They just sat in their nest in the corner of their enclosure. Was hard to get a good viewing angle on them.

god that lens is awesome

i kinda wish canon would bring out an EF-S 50-150 f/2.8L IS, but you know they'd charge $2500 for it.

Yeah, would like one of those too. I bet they would charge $1000-1100 for it :(

Edit: I think a EF-S 55-150 F2.8 IS is more likely. I doubt we will ever see an EFS L lens.

I dunno, I really like the 70-200 range. a little upset I sold my f/4 non-is...but I couldn't realistically afford it considering it used it for one thing, and that was autocross which I have no time to shoot since i'm half helping run it, heh.
