Trip to Thailand

Just booked my trip to Thailand for May 21st to June 8th.

Have any of you been before? Anything amazing over there that I should check out?
Any tour guides/hotels that are awesome to stay at?

Seems like the floating market is a tourist trap and a waste of time. Probably won't hit that up.

The musts will probably be Bangkok, Ko Phi Phi and Phuket.

The floating market was pretty cool. Then again I went with my girlfriend who is Thai, so I didn't have communication issues. You are a white foreigner so you are going to be seen as a walking ATM machine.

This is important. Do not rent a jetski from a Thai. There are scams targeting foreigners, and the police will not help you. In fact, the police are usually in on the scam.

Just use common sense and you should have a great time.
Be an asshole and you will have issues. 🙂

Watch out for ladyboys. They will fool you, especially if you're buzzed and felling good.

Most shop keepers, wheeler and dealers, and thieves are going to be at tourist destinations. Keep your belonging tight to your body, take a photocopy of your passport, and keep the passport/valuables lock up in an anti theft bag in the hotel safe. Google things to do in the area that you want to go to as most website described pretty much everything that you want to see/do in Thailand. Enjoy yourself, but don't get caught with drugs or get into fights.

I wouldn't be bother because it is likely that she is now resentful and cynical.

Thais women like respectful and clean men, and they tend to think that tourist men are dirty/smelly/rude/shifty.

Great info. Thanks. Def won't rent a jetski there now. We are pretty big guys so things would get interesting. The guy in the video that took his shirt off wanting to fight would be destroyed rather quickly if he was in America. Def don't want to fight in a foreign country.

Either way just looking to have fun and not deal with issues so I will def be paying attention to possible scams.

It doesn't matter how big you are. You don't want to f*ck around in another country.

I saw a fight between a foreigner and a Thai man. The foreigner was acting like an a**hole so he had it coming. Anyway, one Thai man soon turned into 20 Thai males. They beat the sh*t out of this guy. The cops took the foreigner to the hospital because he was beaten pretty badly. To be honest, if you have any issues it's going to be with other foreign people. Thai people are normally pretty welcoming and generous. I never have a problem with them. Then again I'm older so I don't hang out at the bars until 4am. It seems that is when most issues occur.

In America he wouldn't even have tried that stunt.

You will have an awesome time! When you get back you should post some pics. Also, you're going during the slow months. You shouldn't have to worry about many foreigners.

I might be in Bangkok in a month.

My friend Pich at work is from Thailand. It's hot there. He says street food is cheap and good. Also, the food is decently hot, it's too hot for him. But, He said if you like heat, then the food there will be perfect. He says Chiang Mai is good place to visit since temperature is a bit cooler there vs Bangkok...
 
Do not pay for taking photo of touching ladyboy's boods, pls ! Almost all of my firends went to thai by flaunting those dirty pics paying for touching fake boods. That totally made me sick.
