Trinitron Onwers - What are your Brightness-Contrast Settings

When I bought my first Trinitron a few years back I read that the best settings were Contrast 90-100 and Brightness at around 10 - that sounded good because keeping the brightness down might extend the life of the tube..

But now I keep it at around Brightness 50 and Contrast 70

(Possibly a useless nef post? )

Mine is currently at brightness 33 and contrast 90. I've never really thought about it before.

Edit: Eww, brightness 50 contrast 70 looks so washed out! :disgust:

I'm at 90/90. But I'm half-blind, and the monitor is from 1997.

I have a Diamondtron, Brightness is at about 5 (its a bar graph, not a number) and Contrast is at about 70.

I turned my brightness back down a bit.

Mine is an IBM P92 - Max 2048x1536 at 59hz

But the highest 85hz setting is 1280x1024 (I wish it were better)
