trinitron monitor goes blurry

i have a dell branded but manf. by sony 21inch trinitron monitor. i bought it used at a computer show 2months ago. every morning when i turn on the monitor my screen turns on and then goes blurry a minute later. I shut off the monitor, let it rest for a few mins and turn it back on and it is ok for a minute, then once agian it goes blurry. i have to do this about 20-25times untill it says on. then it is ok for rest of the day.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Degaussing may help, but it sounds like this monitor has biggier problems, possibly aging capacitors in one or more of the power supply circuits. If it's a refurb with a warranty, and you can contact the seller, take it back for repair, exchange or refund.

ill try degaussing. i have done that before thought but like you said its probley the capacitors. I got it for 95bucks and theres no warantee. Ill just deal with it for a while liek i said its only once a day and then maby move it to the basement computers and junk a 15inch.

Thanks

I have the exact same monitor at work, and it does the exact same thing. Actually, we have two of them, one does it and one doesn't. If you find a cheap solution that works, let me know!
