All right, after much researching and confusion, I've managed to get my purchase list down to this:
DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D
A64 3200 Venice Core
Radeon X800 XL
OCZ 1Gb PC3200 DDR Premier Series Dual Channel
120GB Seagate SATA
LG Dual Layer DVD±R/RW
Samsung 17" LCD
Windows XP Home OEM
Antec SLK3000-B with TruePowerII 480-watt PSU
Problem is, with the best prices I can find in Canada, the total comes to over $2000 with taxes. Can anyone offer some suggestions to either tone down some parts to save some money, or somehow divide up the purchases to ease the pain? Because I tried to go with a "Best Bang for the Buck" mentality, albeit on the performance-edge of it.
I'm planning on oc'ing with it slowly, so that will help make it a little more worthwhile. But as far as I can tell, cutting back many of these components to something cheaper doesn't seem worth the slightly-less cost for the sizeable drop in performance, but maybe I'm wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?
