Trim Test for single SSD setup

Hi Everyone, Does the Hex editor trick also work for single SSD setups or is that just for a raid 0 setup?

Reason for my question, was I figured I would try it. I followed this http://www.anandtech.com/show/6477/trim-raid0-ssd-arrays-work-with-intel-6series-motherboards-too/2

and after I delete the file & emptied the recycle bin, HxD is not showing all 0's for F's for the same sector/area that the file took the place of. I also tried rebooting & still showing the same thing.

I used the Fsutil command & its saying it passing the trim command (showed 0)

Is there another test I should try?

Thanks

Yes, it does work. I just did it on my single SSD AHCI P67 system this morning.

Edit: Just checked my P55 system and it also worked fine.

I'm pretty sure that I've checked my Z77 system with SSD RAID and that worked too.

Seems to be a pretty good test.
