Trim & Onboard Raid Controllers

So I just got my G2 X25 😀. I'm using a Gigabyte P35-DS3P mobo, which has 2 SATA RAID controllers on it, a Gigabyte controller and an Intel ICH9R controller, and I dont know which to install the drive on. I've read that current RAID controllers don't support TRIM and I'm wondering if this holds true for these controllers. Is this true only if they are in RAID mode? If I set one of these controllers to AHCI and install the drive there, will it properly use the TRIM command once the new firmware is released?

Appreciate any insight you can give me. Itching to get this bad boy up and running.

The second control is probably a JMicron controller and much slower than the Intel. Install your main OS disk on the Intel and then storage on the other if you need to.

Yeah, I've got no problem putting it on the Intel controller. But what I am trying to find out is if that controller supports TRIM or not. And if it doesn't, would the Gigabyte (or JMicron) controller?
