Trillian won't see a lot of people online for AIM!

A lot of people on AIM appear offline to me on trillian. If I sign on using the AIM client, they will appear online. I can still IM the people that appear offline, but I want to know if they're online. Anyone else having this problem?
I'm using Trillian Pro 2.0

Trillian 2.01 is out. Update to the latest version to see if that helps. I don't have a problem seeing AIM users with the free version 0.74i.

My friend says he's online but he never is on trillian.. so I don't know. I do have other people showing up on AIM though.

So anyone know of a fix? The update didn't work..
Maybe I have too many people on my buddy list, since when I sign on AIM, it says I can't add anyone anymore.

I have Trilly 2 Pro as well, but never reinstalled it after I reformated last. IMing is no longer a big factor with me

I have this exact same problem. In fact I've almost given up on it. There must be a reason as this just started happening all of a sudden. :frown:

Just looked on Trillian's website and it says...

Trillian Basic Patch I - Trillian 0.74 users should apply patch I to address a recent connectivity problem. You must be using 0.74 to use this patch.

i used to have this problem.

go to your AIM buddy list and clear out 20-30 people. I'm pretty sure the problem is you have added buddies in Trillian that overflow the limit on AIM. Clearing up the AIM list and re-adding your buddies should solve your problem. I try to stay like 30 people below the limit so this problem never surprises me.

even tho this is an old thread, i'll add that i had this problem when i was using two aim usernames on trillian. i eventually just deleted all my contacts thru the aim client and readded them with the single username i wanted to use thru trillian and i've had no problems since.

You might need a patch. Trillian Pro is now at verison 2.013. It works for me.
