Trillian Pro Locks Up & What's the best Multi-Messenger?

I used to use Trillian (Free) without a hitch. I tried Trillian Pro in my PIII500 sys and every time a friend on Yahoo messaged me, Trillian locked-up and bombed out. I had to restart Trillian. I could always message to him without any problems. What's going on? Does anyone have a fix for this?

I've tried other multiserver messengers such as PalTalk and GlobalIM but they require you and your freinds to have accounts on Paltalk's server as well as the yahoo, aim, et. al. you are trying to communicate with. Trillian doesn't require your contacts to use Trillian. Are there any other good multiserver messengers out there that don't require your contacts to sign-up with the multiserver's interface server?

I've never seen any mutiserver messenger that allows voice/cam as Yahoo and MSN do. Does anyone know of any?
Trillian was supposed to be developing either voice or cam, one or the other, but it wasn't functional when I used the Pro version and it was available on the free version. I'm back to using the individual clients, YM, MSN, AIM for now.

I just DL'd Integrity Messenger. Does anyone have any comments on this messenger?

Thanks for any help.

Are you sure you have all the latest patches? Yahoo and MSN made some nasty changes over the last month or so that can cause trillian to crash.

I've been using Yahoo Messenger for the last two or more months. I don't recall any patches being available when I used trill pro. There may have been one that I used. I'll have to look into it again. I just haven't gotten around to their site/forum lately. Thanks for the info.
