Is it possible to simplify this?

2(sinX)^2
------------ <-----divid
(cosX)^3

Thanks for any help.

what are you trying to simplify it to?

sin/cos = tan and 1/cos = sec so:

2(tanX)^2(secX)

or you could smplify using this: sin^2 + cos^2=1

Not having looked at trig in a while, I am a bit rusty, but I would try breaking out the sin^2(x) and the cos^2(x) into a simpler form and see if anything cancels each other.

There should be tables in your text, or you could probably use king google to find some tables somewhere online.

Best wishes.:)
