Tried Uninstalling MBM 5.0, Now computer locks up

I wanted to get rid of Mother Board Monitor but it didn't have an uninstall program, so I just trashed all the files that I thought were associated with the program. Now, while my computer is loading Win98SE, it locks up while loading icons on the toolbar to the lower right. Is it locking because it is still trying to load MBM?

I went into msconfig and got rid of MBM5.0 and now everything loads but the computer is major sluggish. Clicking on icons and they take forever to open.

Need help with this.
