Tried to play games using a usb pc-to-pc bridge cable.. followup

You might remember a few weeks ago I asked if you could network two computers, a laptop and a pc, using a usb cable. here are my results...

i bought a cable from usbgear.com for 44.95 including shipping

I have tried Diablo, Warcraft II, Alpha Centauri, and Quake with no luck. IPX protocols are not recognized, and I have tried every possible connection option on all the games and this cable won't work as advertised.

I am currently raising hell.
