Tried to order some food for a friend

My best friend (who lives in Oregon) doesn't have any money right now. His girlfriend needed to borrow some money because two of her tires blew out. She said she'd pay him back, so he loaned some money to her and then she broke up with him (yes, pwned).

So he just spent the rest of his money to pay his rent. I wanted to order him a pizza as he doesn't have anything for dinner (I'm in Kansas right now). But PizzaHut says that you have to be there in person to sign the card. I swear know you used to be able to do things like this as my mom once suprise ordered me a pizza while I was in college. 🙁

it's hard to help someone out impulsively, these days. friend of mine in washington (state), her teenage son died the other week and I wanted to send groceries.. not food, so much.. juice and soda and trash bags and paper plates and sturdy plastic forks and ziplock bags and tissues.. the stuff that was just so useful and appreciated last summer when my brother in law died. everybody brings hams and casseroles and breakfast foods and peace lilies when someone dies but the ordinary stuff.. often gets forgotten. safeway, you can shop online at safeway and they deliver to where she lives and I thought that was going to be perfect but turns out you can't shop online at safeway unless you live somewhere they deliver to! (I live in south carolina). I can understand only delivering to where you deliver to but geez.. to only let you pay from somewhere you deliver to is kinda extreme.

I ended up sending frozen meals for later from alazing because I just couldn't find anybody that would let me do anything that was actually useful and timely, from here.

If they ask about your phone number being different from the area you are in, tell them it's a cell phone. Then have friend sign slip.
