Tried Permatex Loctite Defogger.... =(

Well I found out it is a one try thing and you have a time limit when doing it! I failed to do it in time and all the stuff just dried up. Blahhhh... Oh Well I'm going to use the Anandtech way... with the Conductive pen ink.

one try thing? I did it twice... used nail polish remover to take it off and did it again. yes it is a bit hard... it doesn't seem to dry as fast on a toothpick as it does on a needle.

the conductive ink may be a better solution but I couldn't find one locally so I went with the permatex.

loctite is a pain. I used a regular pencil.

Did the loctite kit you got come in two parts? If so how did you put it on. The directions say for me to put the light blue liquid on first, let it dry for five minutes then put on the greyish brownish putty. The it says to let it dry for 24 hours before using?

How long do you let the stuff dry before using the CPU?

I let it dry 10...15 minutes max. Then let her rip. Everything worked fine no problemo.
