I got to try one of the segway scooters today, it was a little different to ride on. A guy from the Texas Tech Branch in Amarillo, Tx., had the scooter on loan from the segway company, and he brought it in to my high school for the physics classes to try out. It was interesting to try, don't think I would want to spend $4,000 on one, but definitely worth trying out. Really is interesting to try riding, just a very slight shift in your weight will send you forwards or backwards, you just basically think about going forwards or backwards and you go, stopping is just as easy. Turning is controlled by a knob on the left handle.
Well, just thought I would share how I wasted my physics class, and managed to get the physics test postponed until tomorrow. My uncle's father-in-law knows the guy who had it. Just the mention of it to my physics teacher had her excited, and caused her to find the ability to make room in for the demonstration in our so called packed class schedule, with absolutely no extra class time for anything besides getting ready for the AP test. Yea, I am a senior in high school, AP Physics class.
