Tried Googling this first... Hitler and Nazi = Devil?

Straight from wikipedia, when I noticed it I googled it to see what other information there was available on it, found nothing.

Hitler became the DAP's 55th member and received the number 555, as the DAP added '500' to every member's number to exaggerate the party's strength.[37] He later claimed to be the seventh party member (he was in fact the seventh executive member of the party's central committee;[38] he would later wear the Golden Party Badge number one). Hitler's first speech was held in the Hofbräukeller, where he spoke in front of 111 people as the second speaker of the evening.

Is it really too far to think that this is maybe when the devil entered our realm and possessed Hitler?

Not trying to troll, my trolls are usually sarcastic if anybody recognizes my handle.... but seriously... 555+111 = 666?

I just googled Hitler numerology 666, again nothing even posted about something this obvious.

Pretty soon I'm guessing anandtech will show up on the results for hitler numerology 666 due to 555 + 111. I never have read anything about numerology though, so obviously I am not too learned in it.

You're starting with the premise that 666 means anything at all. As far as the odds go... I imagine they're pretty good when analyzing history. That gives one the luxury of cherry picking data to get the "correct" end result.

I bet there's a conspiracy, or religious site somewhere that mentions it. Not sure it's worth looking for. They're kind of fun to read for about five minutes, but their shtick is so implausible, it takes the fun out of conspiracies. To enjoy a conspiracy, I require some semblance of reality, even if it has to stretched paper thin.

Satan has been around since the very start. It's why Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit.

Hitler would have made the perfect antichrist though. I'm sure at the time people thought it was going to be the end of the world. Have to put yourself in those people's shoes.

ISIS is almost Hitler's time all over again. It seems these things keep repeating themselves. I call it the carousel of war.

This is basically what I'm getting at by posting this thread. I make this quick "hmm interesting" connection when I read the wikipedia page on the nazi party, I google it, and I get nothing. No 5 minutes of kind of fun.

What would be funny is if this was a numerology easter egg planted by pranksters, and it sparked a huge debate amongst numerologists.

I'm disappointed is all.

I just hate it when talking devil snakes convince rib-women to eat fruit from the tree of knowledge and then we all get condemned to burn forever in a lake of fire because of that action unless we accept a jewish zombie who takes multiple 9" pricks as our lord and savior. Just hate it when that happens.

There are so many references and documented sources on the Nazi party and Hitler's inner circle's obsession with the occult that it bothers me anyone feels the need to do some stupid number adding to 666. "666" itself doesn't mean anything if the person is dead now, and anyway the number is more symbolic in portent than something to try to look for by code or math.

I'm calling Shens on these numbers. There have been so many false claims about Hitler and the Nazis that you can't take such things as this seriously.
