system -
· 2 hd3870 cards
· gigabyte ga-x38-ds4 mb
· intel e8400 cpu
· corsair 750w ps
· 3 gb ram
· windows xp home 32bit

OK unistalled, cleaned, reinstalled CCC 8.10 and I "think" crossfire is working.

3dmark06 scores single 3870 dual 3870
3dmark06 10986 14658
sm2 4616 6550
sm3 5135 7956

these scores are with default settings on cpu and gpu.

however when i go to the ccc info center under "graphics hardware" it shows primary adapter and below for second adapter it says "disabled adapter". Is this normal?

gpu-z shows "crossfire enabled (2 gpu's)"

isn't there supposed to be some way to control fan speed on the 3870's ? It shows fans operating at 30%

thanks

Use riva tuner. Oh yes, do you have a two pin fan or a four pin, the two pins don't have fan control. Ignore catalyst, its pathetic and thats some pretty good scores

I am getting higher score with ATIs with the new cat too... 8.12 or something like that... looks like ATI is fixing something lol... so is nvidia too...
