add resistors in series Rtot = R1 + R2 + Rn....
add resistors in parallel 1/Rtot = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/Rn....

Yeah, this is a really shitty textbook, IMHO. Our teacher said it was supposed to be the shit, but it's apparent now it's really horrible...

I was like, "Really? A good textbook?! Exciting!"

Then I read it and look at it... fucking garbage. I don't think she read the textbook yet, but it was put together by a former teacher at the school so she thought it must be good if he approved of it.
