Trick to use WinDVD from DELL on another machine?

Hey, Just bought a DELL laptop that came with WinDVD software. Is there any way I can use WinDVD on my desktop rig? I've tried, but I get a message that says my desktop is not a DELL. Any help appreciated.

It's a bit like that compaq restore cd. You can only install windows on a compaq with it.
