im runnning windows 2000 pro with all the updates including service pack 2. i just installed the game. i played it un-updated and it played fine....

after going onto the net, and running tribes 2 online that updated the updater and tribes 2 itself.. rebooted..

now whenever i go into the tribes 2 solo/lan or tribes 2 online i get a

Unhandled exception: C0000005
At address: 00447722

any idea what i need to do to fix it. im guessing i should probably just reinstall it.. but i just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. thanks

I guess you could try and reinstall. When software programs mess up like that or illegal op, that's all you can do usually.

Odd that it performs a UE after the patches when the patches fixed the UE errors though hehe.

One thing ya might want to try is making sure you have the newest VIA 4-1 drivers, also, what seemed to work for me was going back to the original version of Direct X I had (NOT the one that comes on the CD, that seemed to cause alot of problems) but what really did it for me was to disable AGP 2x on my computer...Im running at 1x now and everything works beautiful...I get almost NO crashes in ANYTHING eanymore 🙂

Defrag your harddrive as well before re-installing.
Set AGP mode in BIOS from 4x to 2x seems to work.
VIA 4-in-1 newest 4.31 driver gives better FPS too.
