Tribes 2 as a benchmark

Is it possible to use this game as a benchmark? It seems to be able to bring most systems to their knees fairly well, and would seem to be an excellent test.
 
There's isn't a timedemo feature although there is a script that can do some fps tracking but it's not standardized and I haven't used it.
