So the whole part about leaving him in the in the windshield and parking the car in the garage was all an accident? she didnt realise he was still alive? i mean being a nurse and all, i guess how i can see why she wouldnt know the difference. NOT

She had to know he was alive. Later in the article it mentions someone else saying that she kept apologizing to the guy (although this was reported by a third party, I can't remember reading if that person was at the scene or not.)

I guess that's why we're listened to when we say no to 'reparations' or affirmative action, eh? Yeah, dominant race indeed. And pointing out individuals is precisely what you're doing with the white guys - look at the statistics, fool. Black people commit more than half of all crimes, especially violent ones, yet they don't make up nearly that much in population.

But I guess it's just the ghetto gettin' to 'em! Fight the man, eh?

Following other threads here this afternoon, I don't agree with affirmative action either. And so what if there's no White Entertainment Television channel. You've got TNN and NASCAR don't you? (There you see what I mean? How easy it is to stir up sh!t? And for what? I have SELF pride and enough of it not to let petty discrimination get under my skin. Yes discrimination happens, always has since the beginning of time and will continue long after your dead in your grave. You can't change it so why waste time worring about it?)

If you want to be constructive about an issue than do it. If you're just trying to start sh!t then you have too much spare time.

I actually am starting to agree with that statement. I used to be very anti-racist... well, I still am, just in a different way 😉
 
Just sent the article to a coworker and was shocked by his response.

Me:

Repulsive. How could anyone with a brain cell do something like this? (link to the story)

Him:

whoops! if she just hadn't blabbed, she'd gotten away with it. And anyway, he was just a homeless piece of sh*t, so what's the big deal?

Me:

I hope you're kidding me. Every life is valuable.

(I keep telling myself that, even though Sprint PCS representatives are included in the above statement.)

But nobody deserves what happened, not even a homeless bum.

yeah, that woman is F'ed. If she'd taken him to the hospital, he'd have made it. You can't just let someone die in your garage. And I do believe all life is sacred. I feel less so about human life though. We don't seem to give a sh!t when we run over cats, dogs, squirrels, birds....when animals are mangled or killed b/c of careless human activity so why should I care about a worthless human life?

I've never hit anything (knock on wood!!) other than bugs. But no one gives a sh!t about that sort of thing. so why should I give a sh!t about a person getting hit?

And i don't buy that religious crap about only humans having souls. Religion is one of the big reasons people have such a careless approach to stewarship. It's not "Religions" fault. It's those who teach it and transfer it who are to blame. It's my understanding that most religions teach that humans are guardians of the earth, not it's owners. The only religion i really respect are native american in origin. Balance and respect for the world around us.



He's a smart guy, but I'm pretty stunned by his response.
