How can you have tri-mode? there are only analog and digital mode.
You can however have tri-bands, which runs at a different frequency at each band.
Philadelphia has scattered cell coverage in some areas. I have that problem with Sprint. I was looking for an alternate carrier; however, when I performed some test, all failed.Originally posted by: Insomnium
I don't know about you guys, but my "Tri-Mode" phone from Verizon occassionally goes into Analog mode even in well-covered areas, like Philadelphia. Why? I don't know, but I've experienced the same thing on a couple of drives from NJ to SC along I-95.

Verizon calls it Tri-mode I believe, 2 digital and 1 analog. I just don't if I'll need the analog. It's a trade off between Tri-mode and no cam or All-digital with a cam.
