Why the hell doesn't the dem leadership come out in front of the press every time one of these assclowns utters this shit and just keep holding up the same poster showing the number of days, week, years Hillary was investigated and how many indictments, convictions, and pleas there were and then show Trumps.

End of story.

I'm starting to think the dems honestly think if they just bide their time and keep their mouths shut they'll keep their jobs...

A Trump connection to Russia will show that in order to maintain power they are willing to commit treason. That would cost them their jobs. They got in bed with a President that is being blackmailed by Putin. He is essentially a Russian plant.

If I'd have told my dear departed mom that Democrats would be in full panic mode about Russia's underhanded influence on American politics in 2016, she'd have laughed in my face. How times change! I'm not judging the veracity of any claims here, but as far as the arc of history goes, it's a fascinating reversal that may have its roots in the neoconservative movement that managed to co-opt many prominent Democrats, including the former heir apparent.

Never mind that, though. The proper political calculation will always be to draw out any investigation as long as possible, so I'm sure Trey will be roundly ignored, as he should be. Bring on the indictments!

Maybe he wants to get on with impeaching Trump and knows it can't happen until Mueller delivers his report. In that way, I want him to finish it the hell up too. It's kind of ironic, though. At this point, the dirtier he is the longer he stays in power via extending the investigation.

If Gowdy were interested in impeaching Trump there are about a thousand different investigations he could be conducting with his powers as chairman that would likely lead in that direction. He’s not interested in that. If anything he’s interested in helping with the cover up.

Because Gowdry was abusing the investigation process regarding Hillary for political ends doesn't make him wrong here. Investigations shouldn't take any longer than needed as a general principle. However the whole "outside counsel" process should be under the control of the Judicial branch for reasons of depoliticizing it.

Dems can't do that, they lost in 2016 because they were already too divisive. Trump won because liberals are so mean.
