I don't understand why they only released it on 10 screens. Some get me a link as to why they did this.

They do it like that sometimes when it tests very badly and they are unsure how well it is going to be accepted. If it does well at the small release, then they'll re-release it at a larger number of theaters. Rinse and repeat.

With the ridiculous bombs they keep dropping, how does anybody hire them?

I am actually surprised that Nic Cage is not on the top of the list, considering the number of movies he has been in these days.
