What scares me is I look at several movies on that list and think: How the FUCK could they possibly spend all that money?

I mean, Waterworld I understand cuz they had to buy SeaDoos for everyone and remake the whole floating city a couple times cuz the weather demolished it. Battlefield Earth makes sense cuz of all the alien sets, ruins, and special effects, but did anybody actually SEE Lolita? Where the fuck did they put 60 million dollars? Its all real locations and most are pretty boring. The guy spends half the movie staring out his bedroom window, talking to himself!

A Sound of Thunder cost 90 million? REALLY? Thats the visuals a 90 million dollar production buys you nowadays, huh? Not fucking surprised our country cant balance its budget. We have no clue what anything is worth.

50 million on KRULL? Who the fuck handles these deals? Some crack monkey?

Also what amused me was this:

Eddie Murphy is the actor with the biggest contribution in film losses, starring in 5 different bombs on this list, having total inflation adjusted losses of around $340 million. Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis and John Travolta follow with around $270M, $260M and $220M of total losses respectively.

With the ridiculous bombs they keep dropping, how does anybody hire them?

The sad things some of the movies on the list were actually OK, but overhyped like mad and leading to high expectations so the majority of movie goers werent too impressed.

Stuff like: The 13th Warrior (which should have been kept closer to the book), Final Fantasy (which would have been acceptable as a traditional Anime), Red Planet (which should have kept it simple and again, not so overhyped), Lolita (which had potential had it, again, followed the fucking book), A Sound of Thunder (should have more closely followed the short story and been about an hour long, tops), Harts War (which should have picked a single plot/theme and stuck with it), Wyatt Earp (overshadowed by Tombstone), Gods and Generals, Mad City (good stuff if you can get past the nonsense), Bonfire of the Vanities (again, stick to the fucking book), Bagger Vance (actually quite good if you dont have an unnecessary hard on for the main cast and can just appreciate the damn movie), All The Kings Men (fine if you can just focus on the plot and ignore most of the bullshit sidelines and actor egos), Big Trouble (quite funny and plot moves along well but again, actor egos needed to be satisfied), and The Relic.
All good potential for entertainment, ruined by just one flaw or too much media play in advance.
