Treo 700w now available

Looks pretty good.

I hate the aerial sticking out 😛.

I'll stick to my I-Jam MDA Mini. But I guess if you need keyboard then that is much better then what I have.

hmmm...great move for microsoft and palm to partner on this. Mobile comm. devices are a good field to be in right now.
 
Palm has already announced over 25 accessories for the new Palm Treo 700w. Bluetooth headset, wi-fi card, GPS solution, lots of "professional" cases, and things like that.

Same here. It's a great device, and soon to be coming to Verizon too.

A couple of reviewers have slammed the 700w, basically saying the 650 is an all around better phone especially for corporate settings.

that's one of the problems for upgrading from one to another... and especially now the different OS for software. I have a 600 and going to either the 650 or 700w will cost me additional with accessories/software in some way.
 
I was VERY excited about this phone until I read that it only has a 240x240 resolution screen while the 650 has a 320x320! 🙁 Any idea when they're going to release a windows treo with 320x320!?

that's the only reason why I still have the 650 in mind.

Windows mobile does not support 320x320.

EDIT>> after reading the review, jumping to the windows mobile platform only has 1 advantage ... windows media player... and I'm doing fine with mmplayer on PalmOS or the free TCPMP. The other benefit is the EVDO and I'm not going to be paying $50/mo. for that... I'm only paying $20 right now after the family plan, even though it's dial-up speeds. Just too big of a difference. It looks like it's not enough for me to go Windows this time around... probably will jump to the 650 now that it's cheaper.
 
Also I can't purcahse a 700w w/o the data plan from vzw.com 😕 They require EV-DO access yet disable DUN bluetoothing 🙁

Actually, if you're citing Mossberg, he said the opposite (worse for personal users), and he's an idiot. So is Pogue.

They did screw up by not having the Messaging and Security Feature Pack available by now...
