I've been in th market for something to replace my aging Sprint A500 and came across this. OfficeMax recently dropped regular pricing on the Treo 650 to $299.99 and I was curious, but I noticed on the Earthlink Wireless pricing page that they are offering it for $199 after $100 activation credit.

I don't know anyone using them for wireless but they are a CDMA carrier. In skimming across the page I was confused by the phrase "All Plans Include Unlimited Data Service" which means you are obligated to add $29.99/mo to each plan. Their use of the word "Include" seems a bit misleading, but free 500 anytime with free N/W and unlimited data for $69.90/mo is worth consideration.

Cheers

Ouch... I'd like a Treo but man. BTW, the $100 credit is on the 2nd month's invoice it says. And yes the $29.95 included unlimited data is additional and required. For 2 Years!

To buy it I'm looking at $401.89 PLUS shipping and taxes. That's with the cheapest plan, plus 500 SMS messages. Monthly would be $29.95 + 39.95 +7.99 = 77.89 for 500 minutes/unl. data/500 sms. Think I'll keep looking...

And it's "strange" Treo, 800 and 1900 Mhz only, if there is no mistake on their site

Thanks for the feedback all. The 800 and 1900 mhz is because it's CDMA, ergo the Sprint/Verizon version of the Treo. Anyone seen an alternative deal below the $324 and $69.99/mo?
