Thanks for the deal.

I bought the router and the wireless USB adapter, and they arrived today. The CompUSA eRebate submission was pretty easy, but I had a few questions about the TRENDNet Mail-In Rebates:

Which e-mail do we include? The "order confirmation" (first e-mail received), or the "order shipped" (second e-mail received), or both?

EDIT: The SKUs differ between the two e-mails (344149 and 344134 in the first, and 51519768 and 50741847 in the second).

Also, should we include one or two copies?

Also, can we mail everything together in one envelope?

This is my first time buying anything with a rebate from CompUSA online, so sorry for all of the questions.

CompUSA rebate FAQ
Q: I purchased on-line at CompUSA.com - What is my receipt?
A: If you purchase on-line at CompUSA.com, your receipt is your e-mail confirmation that is sent to you via e-mail.

From the rebate form "please submit separate form for each product rebate". For me that means I send each form and all its supporting documentation separately. Its too easy for them to claim that you didn't send a receipt or something if you try to combine things and people at rebate houses are easily confused. Just send 2 envelopes with 2 sets of documents and your chances are better - at least from my experiences.

Hope this helps.

We also have a rebate tracking thread for rebate issues here.

Thanks for the info. I read the bit about using separate forms, and I guess I will mail each rebate in it's own envelope to be safe.

Quick question for the folks who have gotten this router up and running:

In the configuration, under Wireless > Basic, is anyone else having trouble disabling SSID broadcasting? I have tried multiple times (hitting "Apply" and seeing the "The device is restarting" screen afterwards), but whenever I check back, it is re-enabled.

If anyone has a fix or can shed more light on this issue, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Bought a USB receiver and a PCI receiver. Besides I also got a USB Belkin bluetooth Class 2 for $4.99AR.
It seems the deal has been here for many times, did anyone has received rebate from TRENDNet yet? I assume I should have no problem two submit two rebates, one for USB receiver and one for PCI receiver, with the same home address, shouldn't I? Thank you!

The NewEgg reviews are hardly enthusiastic; the OS list on the product doesn't mention Vista; and several NE comments mentioned problems with Vista.

Kinda dampens my ardor.

Anyone have great experiences to report for this w/ Vista???

Can't comment on the other pieces, but just installed the router in a customers network to replace a LinkSys that was tied up in knots after DSL install nightmare.
Unplugged the Linky, plugged in the Trend (to the Vista HP box), rebooted cable modem to grab a new IP and off to the races first try.
Never even installed the drivers or TN software.
Added bonus....range increased....now able to hit a box at the other end of the building which couldn't connect to the Linky.
So, in a nutshell...how can you go wrong for $2.99<g>
