Trendnet TEW-752DRU IP access

Just bought Trendnet TEW-752DRU router which has a default IP 192.168.10.1 Found that I can only access the router using the router name tew-752dru. But according to Trendnet, I should be able to use either one.

That is, i can only access the router using http://tew-752dru, but not http://192.168.10.1

I have tried Chrome 31, IE 11 & Firefox 26, all of them behave the same.

Why is that? Anyone with same experience?

I hate to remember the router name, I would like to look at the PC's IP address and then know the router IP immediately.

How the access computer's TCP IP is set?

Did you try to set it to something like http://192.168.10.100 before trying to access the Router.

It's DHCP. The PC gets IP address 192.168.10.101

My bad. Found that network 192.168.10.0 falls on one of my VMware workstation virtual network range.

After VMware virtual network reconfiguration, I was able to access the router using IP address.
