brand name usually doesnt mean much with routers, unless you plan on using stock firmware

that said, the "datasheet" provided doesnt tell you what chipset they are using, so for now i would assume you cant install custom firmware on it.

so as a basic router, im sure it works fine... but for that money you can buy a linksys e1000 or a netgear wnr834b and either of those will run ddwrt or tomato. this is nice because the stock firmware for those routers leaves a lot of features out.

i do notice that trendnet router you listed uses a max of 5v@1A, which is extremely low power. so if youre running this off a solar panel then maybe the firmware or throughput doesnt matter much.

also, you can buy an e2000 for about $35 on ebay refurb as well... which is dual band and i would imagine destroys the router you listed in performance
