Well, the 652BRP (Version 1!) was a pretty solid router, the connection I'm on now is using one. You can also upgrade it to DD-WRT (same basic hardware as Dlink DIR-615 version C1).

The newer V2 (currently shipping) 652BRPs are based on a realtek chipset, and are not flashable to DD-WRT (probably never, unless DD-WRT starts to support Realtek).

My experience with the V2 models is sparse, I installed one at someone's house, and it needed to be rebooted once already because it hung or something, even the switch ports weren't working right.

So if you are in the market for a router, check out the DD-WRT.com router database, and try to pick out a router that is supported by DD-WRT. Then, when you run into limitations or instability with the factory firmware, then at least you might have a solution.

But if you can somehow source a V1 of the 652BRP, I would definately do that. Also, if you can find a 632BRP instead, that is also Atheros hardware, and is also supported by DD-WRT. There is only one version, so all 632BRP should be supported ok.
