Nice find !! I just got my S80g last night from a TigerDirect sale a week ago. It replaces a 5 port Netgear switch.

Not as nice as the TEG-S80g which has a metal housing since the TEG-S8g has a plastic housing, but the guts are probably the same.

Having owned S80g, S8g, S50g, S5g, I suspect the guts aren't the same between the plastic and metal casing counterparts due to differences in size, power spec, and buffer table (one of the plastic ones actually has a larger buffer table). Can't tell the difference between them in actual use of course.

Nice price. Cheapest I've seen for Trendnet 8-port Gigabit switches.

I own several of the TEG-S80TXE metal-cased switches, they work great.

I'm not thrilled with the plastic-cased switches, but for this price, I'd be willing to jump on them.
