The switch has a light on it to let you know what youre getting. Green light means 2000Mbps full duplex, amber means 100/200Mbps Half/full duplex, and no light means 10/20Mbps Half/full duplex OR nothing is detected on the port. Well I get NO light and Im moving a huge MKV file from my Netgear Readynas NV+ to my pc which both are gigabit rated, and are hooked up with cat 6 cables.

My question here is what am I doing wrong that Im not getting neither of the two other lights on the switch and moving the file takes so damn long? :(

Make sure the computer and the NAS are both set to auto-negotiate, try different ports on the switch, and try different cables.

Well the switch is brand new, I just opened it and plugged everything in. And if I knew how to set the auto negotiate I would look into that. Any pointers for that?
