I wish they'd stop selling 100mbps devices... it's rather pointless when all new PCs and devices support gigabit or 802.11n (150~450mbps) speeds.
All it does is provide an artificial "budget" line of product for manufacturers to keep the gigabit stuff priced at a higher tier. Same reasoning keeps 802.11g/b hardware on the shelves, even though nobody buys it.
Even my internet speeds are creeping up on 100mbps (currently @ 60mbps).
There simply is no valid reason for keeping the old stuff around - if there was, we'd also still be able to find 10mbps BNC networking gear, or better yet - token ring.
