TRENDnet Bluetooth USB adapter and Palm Tungsten T2 problems

I have a palm tungsten T2 and a TRENDnet USB bluetooth adapter.

The palm recognizes the adapter, but asks for a user name and password. The USB adapter never asked to configure user names and or passwords, and I have not found any option to... Any ideas on how to get this to work?
