Looks like it's the TEG-S8G with plastic casing. I prefer the TEG-S80G with metal casing (more compact too...have both versions), but this is as low as I've seen either one go for.

I prefer metal-casing switches too.

Have several of the older Trendnet gig switches (non-"green"), and they work very well.

I couldn't find a box for the code either. Monoprice sells a similar switch for $25.11, no coupon needed.

I went all the way to the confirmation page, no discount. Would have been hot, been waiting on a deal, but looks dead.

The point is there is no place for a discount code. So it's not "...pay $25 for something I could get for $15". It's paying $25 with no code for something from Tiger Direct for $40. There is no way to get theirs down to $15 (NO DISCOUNT FIELD).

Instead of everyone stressing about it has anyone thought to actually contact TigerDirect.com and asking them where to post a coupon code online?

I just sent them an email and I'm waiting for their response. If there is a spot I will return and report to the forum.

This was the response from tigerdirect.

Ai Takamatsu: Normally, if an item has a coupon code tied up with it, you will be seeing it on the checkout page on the bottom left corner of the page.

Ai Takamatsu: It is possible that the item they wish to place a coupon code does not exists or is invalid.
Ai Takamatsu: As mentioned earlier, if an item is being advertised with a coupon code, a coupon code box will be available on the checkout page as well.

Ai Takamatsu: Yes sir. If there is no coupon code available on an item, there will be no box present on the checkout page.

Bottom line if there is no valid coupon for the device there will be no coupon code box to enter the code. The guy from Tigerdirect stated that there was no such promo code for that device.

So in other words, this so call deal was bunk. Time to tar and feather the OP. :sneaky:
