in my town if a tree falls into the street you can just cal the cops, the DPW is tied into there radios and they'll wake up a tree crew to take care of it in the middle of the night because it a hazard. a chunk of oak tree from our fell into and blocked the road. we called the cops and they sent a DPW guy in a pickup truck to move it. he got there and was like "Oh..." and he radioed in for few guys with chainsaws and a tree-picker-upper-truck. with 45 min the tree-chunk was gone.
