Tread or not?

I'm going drag racing for the first time this week. My car is front wheel drive and the rubber up front is getting low on tread. My rear tires have alot more tread than the front and I was wondering if I should rotate them before I go to the 1/4 mile or after.

how wide are they? if they are wide enough to make good slicks, leave the bald ones to the front

Good point - also in this situation, if its raining, then the drive wheels are better off with tread, and if its dry, then you want slicks
